Certification FAQ’s

When is the Open Focus/Brain Synchrony Workshop held?

The workshop is throughout the year. At this time we are presenting three workshops a year.

Where is the Centre located?

The Princeton Biofeedback Centre is located at 317 Mt Lucas Road, Princeton, New Jersey, at the cross roads of Ewing St. and Mt. Lucas Road. We are located 2miles from Princeton University and directly off Route 206 N.

What airport should I fly into?

We suggest flying into either Newark Airport or Philadelphia Airport. Newark Airport is located north of the Centre in Newark, New Jersey (near NYC) and the Philadelphia Airport is located south of the Centre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both airports are about an hour’s ride by car.

Should I rent a car or take public transportation?

By renting a car you will have more flexibility than taking a cab. Princeton is a tourist destination and exploring the University or the shopping around the town is one of the attractions of being in Princeton.

Cabs can cost around $20-$25 each way from the hotel areas to the Centre.

Is there public transportation available?

Yes, there are trains, busses and cabs available in Princeton.

If you are travelling from NYC Penn Station, you will take the Northeast Corridor Line to the Princeton Junction station. From the Princeton Junction station, you can take a cab directly to the Centre or you can take the “dinky” shuttle from Princeton Junction to Princeton University. Once at the university you will need to take a cab from the University to the Centre or walk from the University to the Centre. The walk is about 2 miles and will take about 20-30 minutes.

What hotel do you recommend?

We reserve a block of rooms at The Residence Inn by Marriott which entitles you a discounted rate. Their phone number is 609-799-0550. Please mention you are attending the Princeton Biofeedback Workshop to receive the discounted room rate. You can also reserve a room at any one of the many area hotels; they are all located on Route 1 in Princeton. If you are interested in staying in downtown Princeton (in the heart of the university), we recommend The Nassau Inn.

What is the schedule of the workshop?

The workshop starts promptly at 9am and runs until 5pm each day. We encourage our participants to arrive 10-15 minutes early on Saturday (Day One) to sign in, get their workshop materials and settle in.

2 hour lunch break from 12pm to 2pm is given.

What are the differences between the three days of training?

Day One consists of learning how the NS500sx works, practicing how to use it and spending time on it.

Day Two consists of training with the NS500sx in tandem with another participant.

Day Three is strictly a day of Open Focus practice.

Can I come only for Day Two with my partner?

No. Day One and Day Two are designed to be taken together. You will need to experience Day One’s learning in how the equipment works before you can train with your partner on Day Two.

Can I come alone?

Yes! If you come alone on day two, we will pair you with another workshop participant who comes alone.

Do you offer a discount for a spouse or partner?

Yes, we offer a 20% discount on the second participant’s workshop cost.

How do I become certified in Open Focus/Neurosynchrony at the Workshop?

To become certified in Open Focus or Neurosynchrony at the workshop you will need to complete the three day workshop and complete an additional 4 hours of individual training with Dr. Fehmi. We prefer to schedule two training hours before the workshop (Friday) and then the remaining two hours of training after the workshop (Tuesday).

Is there an additional charge for certification?

Yes, to obtain certification, you will need to schedule four additional hours of training. The first training hour is an Intake Session, which is charged at $295.00. The three remaining training sessions are charged $195.00 each, for a total of $880.00

When can I schedule certification training?

Certification training is traditionally scheduled around the time of the workshop. However, you can return at anytime to the Centre to complete your certification training.
